The Family Story

Our History

Tumlos began as a family place. It was meant to be a vacation spot for the family alone.

When people nearby saw the pool, they asked if they could swim too. The father realized it could be shared with everyone and decided to open it as a resort. Tumlos opened its doors on February 14, 2024. It became his birthday gift from his three children.

Today the three children manage the resort together. All three are seafarers, and the salaries they earn at sea go into improving and upgrading the resort. The name Tumlos comes from the family’s last name, passed down from their father.

Our Ethos

Guests are welcomed, land is respected, staff are family.

We measure a good day not by occupancy, but by whether a guest left rested, whether the soil is healthier than last season, and whether everyone who works here goes home valued. That order rarely changes.
